Description:
‘M. &
B.’ hand operated arbour presses are
designed for production work of quick operated in general engineering workshop,
automobile workshops, garages etc. for driving mandrels in and out of work, and
can also be used for inserting and removing bushes, bearing etc. They do not
bend or burr the work or necessitate taking off carrier and will prove a saving
of time and increased life of arbours.
BODY: Made of solid
close grain cast iron.
ARBOUR
PLATE: Rotates on its centre and is
slotted for different type of mandrels.
RAM: Made from mild steel (Can be supplied in carbon steel
is ordered specially).
Round Ram: Provided with a key way and
screw to prevent the ram turning.
Square Ram: Have larger
bearing surfaces, which prolong service life. The machined and ground ram bearing plate is held securely to the
frame by four larger screws and two way adgestebale with slide for long time
aqurasy, permitting take up for possible wear.
Ratchet Device: Single Leverage: Compound Leverage Presses are operated with a ratchet device which permits using lever in most convenient position-has counter weight for quick return after down stroke. Lever and Ratchet pawl are mounted in counter weight. Hand wheel advances ram to work in an instant.
In shops where heavier classes of press
work are encountered. The combination ratchet and compound, leverage presses
are recommended.
